Einride x Brau Union Österreich

Something big is brewing in Austria — and it’s not just the beer. In a landmark move for sustainable logistics, Brau Union Österreich and Swedish company Einride have launched electric road transport operations across the country.

As part of a global partnership with The HEINEKEN Company, this marks Einride's first foray into the Austrian market. The electric fleet will shuttle between breweries, ensuring the seamless delivery of Brau Union Österreich's renowned brews while progressively scaling operations to expand nationwide.

"This expanded collaboration builds upon Einride’s proven end-to-end electric freight services and plays a crucial role in reducing road transport emissions in a critical part of our network," said Arjen van der Woude, HEINEKEN’s Director of Strategic Sourcing Supply Chain.

With Austria now part of its expanding European footprint, the company is setting the stage for a broader transition to fossil free logistics across industries.
